Message Well I am very disappointed today and that is because I blew a piston today. I was driving along at about 180 km/hr not under boost and the car just did not feel right. One of my ARF ratio guages started to show lean and stayed lean. So I shut the car down and pulled over to the side of the road.

I had the car towed to the shop and sure enough number 6 piston...fried.

After I said F*@K a couple of times I now have to decide what am I going to do.

Should I build the engine myself ( Rods , Pistons ) or should I order a STILLEN engine. Has anyone heard anything about thier engines? I was quoted a price today of $6400.00 for the complete engine. It incudes JE pistons and Crower Rods and I think that the head have been ported and polished. Does this sound like a good price?

My goal is to make at least 550 rwhp and I think I can with all the stuff I have now or do you guys think that I should get the Greddy TD5 or TD6 turbos instead of the HKS 2530's that I have now?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Rohan
